Mr. Sosa is starting a new initiative in his third grade classroom on Mondays. He is calling it Cyber Monday! Every Monday for the next 5 weeks he is wanting to utilize technology for the entire day. Every subject and every lesson will have a technology component. Those components will vary each Monday from using a website for research to creating a presentation covering a topic. All websites and technology tools will be listed on the class blog for parents to see and check out. He will have an observer on Mondays to help facilitate the students' learning and to make sure students are using the technology appropriately. He would love for parents to come in and volunteer if they would like. He has Reading from 8a-9a, Writing from 10a-11a, Math from 11a-12p, and Science/Social Studies from 1p-2:30p. Send Mr. Sosa an email if you would like to volunteer!
This is optional for students to participate in. If parents would like for their student to not participate, please let Mr. Sosa know. He can provide students with an alternative assignment that will work on the same skill, just without the technology component.
Mr. Sosa is looking forward to enhancing his third grade students' 21st century skills in the classroom.
