Hi Students-
Thank you so much for participating in the online version of the weekly math
vocabulary scavenger hunt! The winners will be announced on the K-OWL
news on Friday! Make sure to listen for your name!
This week's word is PERPENDICULAR LINES. You can find the definition
on the Caraway website AND I found it on iXL too! I hope to hear from even
more of you this week!
Thanks Mathematicians!

Caraway Students,
I had such a good response from my first math question.  That gave me
the incentive to add another question for this vocabulary word.
Just for your information, I made my drawing in Google Drive with Drawing.

Tech Tuesday is making teachers Tech Savvy

Gareth Cook, 4th grade teacher at Caraway, with his love of technology, has volunteered his time to spread his knowledge to all the teachers at Caraway Elementary on Tuesday afternoons.
Yesterday, he joined teachers in the computer lab and served as a help desk for teachers who are having trouble with various things regarding technology, including Google and our new IXL math online program with student log ons. In previous weeks, they worked on setting up Google Calendars, and filters and labels for g-mail."

New Online Resources at Caraway

Our gracious PTA with enrichment funds purchased the school site licenses this year for Brain Pop for school and home, iXL (a math program), Reading A-Z for our primary grades, and Type to Learn4, a typing program.  Teachers are excited to learn and share new technology with their students.  Teachers will be sharing with parents the necessary information for some of these programs for home use.

Ms. Bone, our kindergarten teacher, shares, "The kiddos LOVE Brain Pop.  We have learned about Shapes, Character, and Matter so far!  The students even ask me to play it again.  Yes, the same video!
