Our Caraway Elementary students had the wonderful opportunity of meeting a published children's author and illustrator, Ben Hatke. Right now his most popular piece of work here at Caraway is the Bluebonnet awarded graphic novel Zita the Spacegirl. Mr. Sosa, our third grade teacher, had not had the chance to read it, but after Ben's visit he was excited to go purchase it, read it, and add it to his classroom library.
In the computer lab the same day, Mr. Sosa posted a question on his class blog for the students to respond to over the author visit. We thank our librarian, Mrs. Letendre, for this special treat.
