Mrs. Kolodzinski's TAG math 5th graders are participating in an on-line simulation called the Stock Market Game. Starting with a virtual cash account of $100,000, the students work collaboratively in teams of 4-5 to create the best performing stock portfolio over a ten week period. The competitive nature of the game is highly engaging and motivational as the students are learning real world skills of research, critical thinking, decision making, cooperation and communication. The Caraway TAG math 5th graders are competing with both elementary school as well as middle school teams. At this time, Caraway has one team that is ninth place out of one hundred sixty seven teams!
