Ms. Conti and Ms. Raybourn are inspiring their art students while showing an YouTube about the artist focused and sharing bits of research from Wikipedia. They also display textile for design features.
Caraway's 4th graders are getting ready to see his pieces at UT's Blanton Museum of Art on November 11, 2011. The PTA is making the field trip possible, and students are learning so much about creativity, history, and visual art language from this project.
The Art classes will be extending the project later in the year with a collaborative multimedia Anatsui- inspired collaboration of our own, so stay tuned. It'll be exhibited on our campus at a later date to be determined.
Parents are welcome to join the 4th graders for the field trip and a number of chaperones are needed.
